Students in the Jawaharlal Nehru College organized a celebration on Parliament attack the attacker Afzal Guru who had been hanged in the very months of 2013. A situation of sedition against many unknown students was said to be lodged at the police station. It had been registered under Sections 124A, 120B and 34. The college also started acting, barring students from activity pending an inquiry, though they'd be permitted to remain as visitors within the hostels.

Students gave a shutdown call; saying that they won’t allow classes to hold around the campus till union leader Kumar is released. The college instructors had rallied behind its protesting people and students and asked for the decision to permit a law enforcement attack around and on the campus even while they become a huge hit towards the public to not name the college as anti-national however they hadn't become a member of the strike earlier.
